Terms of service
You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. We will send you an order acknowledgement by email, detailing the products you have ordered.
Our acceptance of an order takes place when we dispatch the order. When we dispatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.
We may refuse to accept an order:
(a) where goods are not available
(b) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment
(c) if there has been a pricing or product description error
(d) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions
(e) if the order is to be delivered outside of the United Kingdom.
(f) if we believe your order is for commercial or other non-domestic concerns.
Under the United Kingdom's distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from www.maisonandgarden.co.uk for a full refund up to 14 days after the date of purchase.
If you wish to cancel your order you can notify us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org before we have dispatched the goods to you or, where goods have already been dispatched to you, the goods must be returned to us in accordance with our returns policy page.
The product can only be cancelled and returned within 30 days of delivery and must be in the original packaging and undamaged unless damage has been advised to us in accordance with our returns policy.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and issue a full refund.
The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.
Shipping and handling
Each product is listed with shipping and handling prices. We reserve the right to cancel any order that requests a delivery address either outside of our standard delivery areas or in an area deemed to be inaccessible.
We will deliver the products ordered by you to the address which you give for delivery when you make your order. If any of the details you have given us in your delivery address are incorrect, we are not liable for any items which have not been received.
You may specify a delivery address which is different from your billing address, if, for example, you would like us to deliver the products directly to a friend, a relative, or your place of work.
Delivery will be made as soon as possible and usually within 3/5 days of receipt of your order. Our normal working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We only process and dispatch orders during these timescales. All delivery and dispatch timescales quoted on the website do not include weekends.
Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods on the day we specify, we cannot guarantee delivery on that day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale. This also applies to products sent directly from our manufacturers. We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries.
Some postal addresses in Northern Ireland, some offshore islands and some remote areas of Great Britain may not be covered by our normal delivery services and so we may have to contact you to advise you of extra postal charges.
If you do not receive products ordered by you within 14 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us by email at email@example.com of the problem within 21 days of the date on which you ordered the products.
The majority of our products are dispatched by Royal Mail or courier. If you have not received your items, in the case of Royal Mail you must check with your local sorting office even if you have not received notification from your postman that they are holding items for you.
In the event that we reproduce an item for you and subsequently the original is returned as undelivered by Royal Mail, we reserve the right to charge an administrative fee up to 100% of the sales price of the reproduced product.
We reserve the right to wait up to 10 working days from the date of dispatch before replacing an undelivered item.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
All prices include vat (where applicable) at the current rates. We reserve the right to express the price exclusive of VAT, but we shall show vat separately and include it in the total price.
Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown elsewhere on this website.
Our prices are reviewed periodically.
Credit card security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128-bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Maison & Garden do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on this shopping site where they are strictly necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation, and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the 'Remember me' option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details. You can turn off cookies by blocking them in your browser privacy settings. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use them.
Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders.
B. Administer and enhance the site and service.
C. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes.
